Readers Attempt to Set World Record at Curtis Hixon Park

What better way to ring in the New Year than as world record holder? Wordier Than Thou is orchestrating a Tampa Bay-area Guinness Book of World Records attempt to assemble the most people reading to themselves in a public place at the same time.

On January 1, readers from around the Bay look to dive into their favorite literature in hopes of becoming a part of a record. Bring a book with you or grab one of the books they’ll have to give away to attendees while supplies last.

In addition to the books (and hopefully a world record), attendees can expect prizes, food trucks, entertainment and more.
