Non-stop roundup: TPA adds new domestic and international routes

Tampa International Airport is one of the most buzzed about travel hubs in the country. While we love the Burg, we can’t fight the urge to explore beyond our region.

A slew of new announcements at TPA are making satisfying that urge all the easier.

Here’s a quick roundup of what’s going on at the regions top airport:

Head West, St. Pete. United Airlines’ super popular. non-stop service to San Francisco is adding a second daily flight to keep up with demand.

Contour Airlines announced it would begin a new non-stop route between TPA and Middle Georgia Regional Airport beginning this December.

Sun Country Airlines inaugural nonstop flight to Madison, Wisconsin from TPA took off on September 29 to much fanfare.

Passengers from Tampa traded their flip flops for hiking boots as Spirit Airlines launched new flights from TPA to both Asheville and Greensboro, North Carolina.

Beginning May 23, 2019, non-stop service between TPA and Amsterdam will begin aboard Delta Airlines. The airline will use the 211-seat Boeing 767-300 for the flights.

This month, Norwegian Airlines will begin non-stop service between the TPA and London’s Gastwick Airport.
