If motorized hunks of metal flying through the air while operated by seemingly fearless drivers is your idea of peak entertainment, have we got the show for you. Monster Jam Freestyle Mania is coming to Tampa, bringing with it three days of freestyle motocross and monster truck action – at the same time.
Tickets are on sale as of 10 am today, May 19, for shows on August 14, 15 and 16 at Benchmark International Arena. Seeing a wild show like that indoors is going to be quite the spectacle, and it’s about as dangerous as something can get while still being billed as family friendly. The 12 year olds in your life will be happy to hear you got them tickets.

As for the action itself, Monster Jam promises that the show “will change everything you thought you knew about freestyle.” I admittedly knew very little, but even this does seem to be beyond my expectations for a monster truck show. The company says this is the first time ever that Monster Jam trucks and Freestyle Motocross bikes will team up together for one show.

In a media space where it can often be more enjoyable to catch live shows from the comfort of your home and a big screen, Monster Jam is likely correct that this is one of the few remaining events that’s decidedly better in person.
