Modern Townhome Development Breaks Ground in North Hyde Park

Onyx and East (O&E), a development company with a focus on urban infill, breaks into the Florida market with the acquisition of property in the heart of South Tampa’s Hyde Park neighborhood. Tampa Bay-based Peregrine Construction Group broke ground on the project at 405 N. Oregon Street, dubbed Views at North Hyde Park, on April 9.

Once complete, Views at North Hyde Park will boast 37 chic, modern townhomes. In contrast to the traditional townhome, these will feature beautifully engineered modern exteriors and rear-load garages, as well as contemporary finishes and rooftop terraces. Sight Real Estate is handling sales, and pre-sale begins the end of April. Pricing will start at the lower end of $400,000, with the option to choose from two floor plans – named Gray and Fig.

Gray is the larger floorplan (1,965 square-feet), offering three bedrooms, three and a half baths, and a two-car garage. Fig (1,697 square-feet) offers two bedrooms, an office, two and a half baths, and a one-car garage. Square footage will vary slightly for end-units.

John Bain, executive vice president of national operations for O&E, feels that Views at North Hyde Park is the perfect project to help the company break into the Tampa Bay market. “We are amid an urban renaissance, and the demand is there,” he said. “We are building an elevated product that home buyers are asking for in a location that can’t be beat.”

In one of the few centrally located walking districts of Tampa, Views at North Hyde Park is located just minutes from the 25-acre Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park renovation, Riverwalk, and Bayshore Boulevard. Townhome owners will have easy access to these, as well as downtown Tampa, the Westshore District, and Historic Hyde Park.

With an overwhelming majority of more than 200 unit apartment communities, Views at North Hyde Park answers the demand for homeownership in the coveted Hyde Park neighborhood. The community will encourage homeowners to walk out their front door and enjoy local Tampa-based establishments like Goody Goody, Oxford Exchange, and Hyde Park Village.
