Coming on Saturday, April 30, the Metro Inclusive Health’s new Youth Center is hosting an affirming celebration for youth ages 13 and up at its Open House Party. The all afternoon party is a chance to make friends, get a makeover and listen to local musicians while learning about Metro’s youth programs.
Hosted from 12-4 pm, the Open House will feature live music, local food, paint your own pottery classes by Drip Ybor, makeovers from Bishop’s Hair Salon, and entertainment on stage in the backyard of the charming bungalow. Plus, METRO will bring in a bounce house, because who says only kids can have fun bouncing around?

Parents are invited to the event, as well, and the Youth Center will have a room for parents to hangout, socialize and enjoy snacks and drinks together. The event is free to attend and programmed for ages 13-17. Learn more about Open House Party here.
Youth Center provides perfect space for teens to socialize
The METRO Youth Center is located just behind Metro Inclusive Health at 907 E 12th Avenue in Tampa, provides a safe, welcoming space for LGBTQ+ and allied youth to attend programs and connect with peers. The center hosts regular events, including the weekly Queer Friday Hangout from 6-8 pm, weekly youth socials, and the Thursday Series all designed for teens aged 13-17. The center also hosts drug and alcohol-free young adult socials on a bi-monthly basis for those 18 and up.
In addition to regularly scheduled events, the METRO Tampa Youth Center hosts a variety of workshops, events and designated leisure times. The home provides youth with a place to make friends, socialize with others, and relax in a supportive and affirming environment. The center has TVs with streaming services, karaoke machines, board games, picnic benches in the backyard and other activities for all to enjoy.

Meet the Pediatric Team at Metro Inclusive Health
When Metro Inclusive Health introduced pediatric services a few months ago, the announcement was met with praise and high demand. To coincide with the Youth Center opening, METRO is hosting an opportunity to tour the health center and meet its pediatric providers for parents and those soon to be parents, Saturday, April 30 from 12-4pm.
