Margaritaville just launched The Compass Hotel on a 220-acre island

The Compass Hotel by Margaritaville, which just opened, is a must-visit if you are looking for a relaxing, socially-distanced vacation. Who wants a Cheeseburger in (Anna Maria) paradise.

After being cooped up at home for the past few months, we all need the rejuvenating magic of Anna Maria. Their website says that “the cozy, small-town atmosphere of Anna Maria Island warmly welcomes visitors and is known for being a place to enjoy peace and relaxation.”

Welcome to the 220-acre private island

Situated on a 220-acre private island community, the hotel features brand-new, nature-influenced rooms with “premium amenities including Margaritaville bedding, rainfall showers and smart TVs,” says their website.

For some social-distanced fun, the hotel recommends that guests check out “the picturesque Coquina Beach” where you can “enjoy great hiking and biking at Neal Preserve and Robinson Preserve, both within walking distance of the property, or get around the island using the complimentary trolley.”

Fresh local seafood on the menu

At night, you can close off the day with a delicious meal at Floridays Woodfire Grill, which is on the hotel premises. They serve fresh local seafood, salads, and steaks. For a lighter meal, you can also check out options at The Compass Bar, which is located next to the outdoor pool. They have rigorous cleaning protocols and a hundred outdoor seating options so that guests can stay safe.

They have also implemented plexiglass at the check-in desk and staff are required to get their temperature taken as they come inside as part of safety precautions to alleviate guest concerns.
