Ciccio Restaurant Group opens Luv Child, a Cubano concept with a juiced up bar

Ciccio Restaurant Group, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Whether you’re slaying protein packed sweet potato noodle bowl at Fresh Kitchen, a green monster feast with crispy cauliflower from Better Byrd, or decadent slices of Cap’n Crunch French toast from Daily Eats, the ubiquitous CRG has something for you. Yes, I stan this group.

They’ve delved into the gym business with CAMP, given something delicious to the vegan crowd with Sweet Soul, and continue to sling seriously great tacos at Taco Dirty. There’s a lot to love here. Founder Jeff Gigante even just opened a killer pizza spot, Forbici, that’s is dishing out Roman-style pizzas. This is all to say, BELIEVE the hype.

Cubano concept from Ciccio Restaurant Group

Now, CRG is debuting something totally new, Luv Child. The restaurant offers Cuban cuisine with that signature Ciccio amped up flair. The owners described it as “70’s retro Miami vibes featuring our very special Cubano y Mexicana inspired menu-dreamed up by none other than our own Chef Luis Flores!” We’re here for this, foodies.

Luv Child soft opened earlier in October, and the social posts have poured in. One diner, @tailsoftampa, showcased Luv Child’s full liquor bar with the literary Hemmingway Daiquiri: Flor Da Cana Rum, Fresh Lime Juice, Fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice, Maraschino Liqueur, and Agave. Cheers!

Towers of thick yucca fries, and crispy nachos are also on the menu, as showcased by @planbecreative on Instagram. Don’t forget the loaded Tostones, either!
