Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (BGT) is known for its award-winning roller coasters and major holiday events. This in addition to its beautiful safari area, and pretty fantastic food offerings. There’s another aspect to the park that lifelong thrill seekers have sorely missed: The Skyride. The park announced the Skyride will officially reopen on February 2.
“Experience a relaxing bird’s eye view of some of our animals & rides while you glide over the park on this breathtaking adventure,” writes BGT on Instagram.

Take in beautiful views of roller coasters and the animals in Busch Gardens care as you cross the lush park from the comfort of the Skyride cable car, that runs between Egypt and Congo on the opposite side of the park. It initially closed during the pandemic in 2020, and has since remained closed for repairs. A lot of folks are eager to experience the views on this ride one more time.
Whether you are marveling at animals, creating your thrill ride and roller coaster action plan, or simply relaxing at 50 feet, the Skyride is the perfect way to get across the park so you can see the most during your visit.
Also in 2024, Busch Gardens will welcome the new Phoenix Rising roller coaster.
