The Tampa Bay Buccaneers exceeded most fans’ expectations when they made a playoff run in 2024. The team’s new QB, following the retirement of Tom Brady, is Baker Mayfield and he made believers out of the Tampa faithful after an up-and-down season that was anything but dull.

Baker and the Bucs are reportedly nearing a 3-year, $100 million deal (with half of that guaranteed), according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. In the 2023-24 season, Mayfield threw for 4,044 yards and 28 touchdowns leading the Bucs taking the NFC South and securing a W in the playoffs. Mayfield also made the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.

Proverbial fan favorite Mike Evans will also be a Buc for life it seems. It’s been reported that the Bucs have re-signed their future Ring of Honor inductee and likely Hall of Fame receiver Mike Evans. This is according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter who broke the news.

“The Buccaneers and five-time Pro-Bowl WR Mike Evans reached agreement on a two-year, $52 million that includes $35 million guaranteed, per his agent @DerykGilmore,” Tweeted Schefter.

Think this dynamic duo can get the Bucs back in the Super Bowl picture in 2025?
