Everything you need to know for free museum day in Tampa Bay

Tampa is home to tons of fantastic museums and cultural centers — and on Saturday, September 22, they’re opening their doors to the public for free.

In addition to Free Museum Day, September 22 is National Public Lands Day. This means you can experience the state parks in and around Tampa that normally charge fees for free. But you should be ready to work. National Public Lands Day stands as the largest single-day volunteer event.
