In the heart of Downtown Tampa, two spirited retirees, Tim Eves and Tom Henry, members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, embarked on a heartwarming initiative. They planned to refurbish abandoned or impounded bikes, breathing new life into these forgotten wheels. Their mission? To provide reliable transportation to those in need—whether for work, medical appointments, or everyday journeys.
Since October, their noble endeavor has gained momentum. They’ve revived over 200 bikes with dedication and community support, a testament to their unwavering commitment. Nestled in an old converted convent, now their bustling bike shop, a dedicated team of volunteers gathers to mend and restore these humble steeds, turning dreams of mobility into reality, one pedal stroke at a time.
