The city of Tampa just turned 136 earlier in July, but this city likes to double the celebrating in the summertime. Sparkman Wharf (615 Channelside Dr) will host its 4th annual 813 Day, which celebrates Tampa with a social media fundraiser benefiting The Florida Aquarium, a nonprofit with a mission to save marine wildlife through conservation, research, education and rescue efforts.
On August 13, the community can celebrate Tampa with:

- Live music by local bands from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- A variety of $8.13 specials from various Sparkman Wharf retailers.
- Starting at 8:13 p.m., the first 50 people to visit Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will receive one complimentary ice cream scoop.
Celebrate the city of Tampa at Sparkman Wharf
Sparkman Wharf will donate $5 (up to $1,000) for every photo taken in front of the Sparkman Wharf TAMPA sign, posted on social media from August 7 – August 13.
This waterfront food and fun spot will also host a special stuff the bus event on Sunday July 23. The event benefits Hillsborough Education Foundation and their efforts in spreading smiles and school supplies all across Hillsborough County.
Stop by their Pop-Up School Supply Shop at the lawn of Sparkman Wharf, right near the stage, to purchase and donate school supplies. Receive a FREE ice cream scoop from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams when you donate.
