Tampa is slowly becoming a bagel lover’s paradise. We first want to give some devout love to Pete’s Bagels in Historic Ybor City (1804 E 4th Ave). With its wraparound porch and access to a lovely dog park, that gorgeous spot has our heart. The plant-based Pete breakfast sandwich is phenomenal, but Tampa has room for more bagels—and three new hubs are ready to expand into the city.
Let me just this out of my system: Tampa Bay-gle. Can we make this a festival?!

Pop Up Bagels
The two-time winner of the Brooklyn Bagel Fest announced on Instagram that it’s opening in Tampa. An official opening date is still TBA, but the company noted it will be sometime this summer. An exact address has yet to be revealed.
“We’re super excited to launch in Tampa,” said PopUp Bagels Founder Adam Goldberg in a press release. “Tampa has always been one of my favorite cities, and this will be awesome for the people who live here and love great bagels.”
Every bagel is baked fresh and served hot, whole, and straight from the oven—no slicing, no sandwiches. Whether you prefer to grip, rip, and dip right on the street or take your bagels home to enjoy in countless ways, PopUp Bagels is all about celebrating simplicity, flavor, and the pure joy of a freshly baked bagel.
H&H Bagels
In 2025, H&H Bagels will bring its famous New York goodies to Tampa at 1155 South Dale Mabry Highway. No official opening date has been revealed, but representatives are optimistic it will open this spring or early summer.
H&H Bagels is the beloved New York institution founded in 1972, known for its chewy, kettle-boiled bagels made with New York’s signature tap water. The brand has become a staple of the Upper West Side—and a pop culture icon thanks to “Seinfeld” and “Sex and the City”.
Jeff’s Bagel Run
Another bagel franchise has entered the chat. Florida-based Jeff’s Bagel Run is starting the new year with a significant expansion in Florida. This expansion includes a store in the Brandon/Riverview area and two stores in Tampa, established by siblings Delaney, Eric, and Matt Warters.
Their motto: always boiled, never toasted. The business began with one shop in Ocoee, Florida, and before opening a brick-and-mortar location, co-owner Jeff Perera was delivering bagels door-to-door—hence the name “Jeff’s Bagel Run.”
We’re excited for this debut, but also want to show love for our other local bagel heros:
