511 Franklin makes splashy debut in downtown Tampa

2023 is off to a strong start with major debuts in downtown Tampa. The newest cocktail experience on the scene is 511 Franklin — it shouldn’t be too hard to find as its name and address are the same (511 N Franklin Street). This chic new hangout comes from the national brand Station and Bowery. The company is a full-service owner and operator focused on the restaurant and bar space. They currently have seven locations across New York, Florida, Chicago, and Philadelphia, and just added Tampa to its list.

Local artist Cayla Birk recently wrapped up a Florida-inspired fresh squeezed mural on the wall next to the bar. The venue hosted a soft launch the weekend of January 21 and tantalized the public with their cocktails.  Each drink features its own quirky name, though the one that stands out the most is the Wolf of Wall Street inspired nectar called I Ain’t F**kin Leaving. This drink is made with Ketel One Vodka, Buddy Brew cold brew, coffee liqueur and vanilla.

The bar plans to add small plates to its menu once this soft opening phase is over. 511 Franklin’s grand opening included DJs during the Sunday Shenanigans, so visitors can plan to enjoy a variety of entertainment at the bar.

The planned hours at 511 Franklin are 3pm-3am Monday-Friday and noon-3pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Know before you go: This bar is for patrons ages 23+. Follow 511 Franklin on Instagram for updates on the launch of its kitchen, and upcoming events.
