USF Athletics has put together a free afternoon and decided to call it an inaugural tradition, which is either very ambitious or a confident bet on Bulls Nation showing up, and probably the right call either way. Bulls Fest officially kicks off the 2026-27 athletics season at the Yuengling Center this Saturday, August 22, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm, and it’s carrying a two-hour lineup that’s worth showing up for.
The centerpiece is a formal introduction of the 2026 USF football team, which might sound ceremonial the way that ribbon cuttings sound ceremonial, but it’s one of the few chances you’ll get to see the squad before the season turns everything into television and parking logistics. Student-athletes and coaches from across USF’s athletics programs will also be on hand throughout the afternoon, and the broader lineup includes inflatables for kids, food trucks, music, photo opportunities, giveaways, and live stage programming spread across two hours. That’s a serious amount of content.

The venue is worth a quick note. Bulls Fest was originally slated for the Porter Family Indoor Performance Facility before USF Athletics moved it to the Yuengling Center, a 10,500-seat arena that’s been a campus fixture since 1980. More room for everyone, and no change to the price of admission, which is zero.
That zero is important. Admission is free. Parking is free. In Tampa Bay, where a casual Saturday afternoon has a way of quietly adding up before you realize what happened, an afternoon with a Division I football team, inflatables, and food trucks that costs you absolutely nothing is a surprisingly easy yes.
Whether you’re a lifelong Bulls fan, a new student still getting your bearings, or a parent who promised the kids inflatables and now has to come through, this is a solid way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Reserve your free spot here before the rest of Tampa catches on.
