The biggest taco festival in Tampa Bay is back! The 7th Annual Tampa Taco Fest returns to Al Lopez Park this Saturday, February 22, bringing tons of authentic Mexican eats (and drinks) to Tampa.
The annual favorite, taking place from 10 am – 6 pm, turns Al Lopez Park into a veritable smorgasbord of flavor, showcasing some of the state’s best chefs, taquerias, food trucks, and street food vendors. From savory elote and hot birria to made-to-order tacos and a wild Casamigos margarita bar, Tampa Taco Fest is a must-visit for fans of Mexican food and drink.
Tickets to Tampa Taco Fest are $7 for early bird general admission ($12 day-of), which includes access to the festival. If you really want your money’s worth, we definitely recommend the VIP tickets, which include two cocktails or beers from the VIP bar, two tacos (with chips and salsa) from Jimmy’s Tacos, a private tent with seating, and access to the VIP-only bar. VIP tickets start at $50. All children 12 and under receive free entry to the festival.
As part of the cultural festival, there will also be a live show by Selena Tribute Band, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Selena’s lasting legacy. Plus, a local market on the festival grounds will showcase handmade crafts, jewelry, and traditional Mexican products.
One of the highlights of the festival will be a chance to try Pete’s Place, the winner of the 2024 Best Taco Award. No matter where you go, there will be tons of mouthwatering, authentic tacos made fresh on-site by fan-favorites like Taqueria Janda, Tacos de Carne Estrada, Rene’s Mexican Kitchen, and dozens more.
The vibrant Tampa Taco Fest is the perfect event for the whole family, and even the furry members of the family are welcome (but must be on leashes). In addition to food and drink, there will also be family-friendly games and activities, live musical performances, a photo booth, and much more.
The majority of the Tampa Taco Fest is cash-only. We recommend bringing cash as some vendors will not accept cards. Tickets are available now online, and day-of tickets will be available at the gate. Al Lopez Park is located at 4810 N Himes Avenue.
Proceeds from the Tampa Taco Fest will benefit the United Citizens Coalition, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping underserved Latino communities.
