Tampa has a ton of great burger spots. A few personal favorites include Nebraska Mini Mart, Dead Bobs Too, The Brisket Shoppe, Butter’s Burgers, and Isaac’s World Famous Burgers. A new list from Lawn Love ranked 2023’s Best Cities for Burger Lovers, and Florida destinations are well represented. Tampa wound up ranking in the top 30.
They compared the 200 biggest U.S. cities based on four categories. Lawn Love considered access to burger vendors, consumer ratings, and national recognition, among nine total metrics. Tampa climbed the rankings due to the proliferation of burger restaurants across the city, which meets a surging demand amongst residents and tourists.

Finding the best burger spots in Tampa
According to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay readers, Riveter’s makes the best burgers in Tampa, with Datz as a runner up. Tampa Magazine readers named Goody Goody as the best burger joint with Whiskey Cake at the International Plaza as the runner up. Another travel site, Enjoy Travel, made a list aggregating the best burger spots in all of Florida and listed Thee Burger Spot as one of their picks in the top 25.
WFLA also pushed a list of must-try burger joints in our city and their list has Nebraska Mini Mart in the top spot. There’s no right answer to the question, “who makes the best burger in Tampa?” And that’s a good thing. Treat yourself to the huge variety of grill masters in this city.
