Sushi BRB (1500 W Cass St) has been on our radar for a minute. The new hot spot for sushi and bao buns quietly opened in 2023, but their fresh eats have quickly earned perfect 5-star reviews in Tampa. Chef Justin Fields combines Asian flavors and Floribbean inspiration to offer one of the most flavorful menus in the city.
“My goal is to provide a memorable and enjoyable service that delights and surprises my guests and establishes Sushi BRB as a leading destination for bao, rolls, and bowls,” writes Chef Fields.

There’s a lot to explore on this menu. Indulge in a classic “California” roll, or apply that California style to a bao bun and swap the krab for Sushi BRB’s marinated, sous vide chicken breast. Better yet, try those flavors in a hearty bowl over lightly dressed greens, topped with crispy pearl rice crackers and spicy togarashi.
