Bring on the exquisite Italian food! The owners of Il Ritorno, one of the most celebrated restaurants in St. Petersburg, announced they will be opening a restaurant at Sparkman Wharf. Called Semolina, the Italian pasta concept will open in the spring of 2020.
“We are thrilled to welcome Semolina as our newest retail tenant and to enhance Sparkman Wharf’s already impressive options for casual gathering and dining,” said James Nozar, CEO of SPP. “Water Street Tampa is bringing exceptional new lifestyle options to the city and we look forward to continuing to announce new restaurants and retailers at Sparkman Wharf in the months ahead.”
Made-to-order gourmet pasta dishes
Semolina’s menu will offer a wide selection of made-to-order signature pasta dishes, as well as freshly-baked breads, salads, wines by the glass and a variety of local beers, according to a release.
The dishes here will be crafted with high quality ingredients, inspired by the sidewalk cafes of old-time Italian eateries.
Semolina’s design by Tampa-based architecture firm OWA offers easy walk-up counter service, giving guests the option to enjoy a full dine-in experience, or a grab-and-go gourmet meal.
Laid-back aesthetic with fine dining options
“Semolina offers the best of modern and classic Italian cuisine and is a place where guests will be able to enjoy quality food within a laid-back setting,” said David Benstock, owner of Semolina.
The new Italian eatery will add to the culinary luster of Sparkman Wharf. You can visit the massive waterfront dining and entertainment green space at 615 Channelside Drive.
