Tampa’s beloved “Rock the Park” concert series celebrates its 14th anniversary

This September, Rock the Park Tampa is marking a significant milestone—14 years of bringing live music to the heart of the city. On September 5, Curtis Hixon Park will come alive once again with the sounds of local talent, as the community gathers for this much-anticipated event.

Rock the Park has become a staple in Tampa’s cultural scene, taking place on the first Thursday of every month. The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to everyone. It’s more than just a concert; it’s a vital platform for emerging artists from across the region, giving them the chance to perform in one of the city’s most iconic locations.

Curtis Hixon Park, located at 600 N Ashley Dr., offers a stunning backdrop for the event. Attendees will enjoy the sights of the Sykes Tower and the Tampa Riverwalk, with the historic minarets across the river adding to the ambiance.

This month’s lineup features the band HollowHouse, promising a night of great music. And what’s a concert without delicious food? Guests can look forward to tasty offerings from Jam Dish and This Little Pig.

For the past 14 years, the Tampa Downtown Partnership and Brokenmold Entertainment have produced this monthly music series, showcasing a diverse range of musical genres. Rock the Park Tampa has grown into a beloved tradition, drawing music lovers from all over to celebrate the city’s vibrant arts scene.
