Tampa’s love for food festivals runs deep, and PhilFest is one event you don’t want to miss. This vibrant celebration of Filipino cuisine, culture, and community returns from April 4-6 at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center (14301 Nine Eagles Dr). Now in its 28th year, PhilFest continues The Philippine Cultural Foundation, Inc.’s mission of promoting Filipino heritage and empowerment.
Tickets are available for $8 in advance at the Bayanihan Arts and Events Center or $10 at the gate.

PhilFest is a feast for the senses
Over the three-day festival, attendees can savor authentic Filipino dishes, browse unique Philippine merchandise, and enjoy an incredible lineup of live performances. Expect to see everything from traditional folk dances to modern musical acts, with both local talent and visiting performers from across the U.S. and Canada taking the stage.
The PhilFest stage will be packed with entertainment, featuring performances from PCFI’s resident performing groupsand special cultural showcases. Several competitions will also bring high-energy excitement to the event, including:
- “Tanghalang Pambata” – A talent competition for children
- “Tawag ng Tanghalan” – A singing competition for adults
- “Revolution” – Youth Night featuring a hip-hop dance battle
- “Yugyugan” – A thrilling street dance showcase
Pageantry, parades and more
One of the festival’s highlights is the Miss/Mrs. PhilFest pageant, where contestants represent Filipino-American organizations in a celebration of beauty, talent, and cultural pride. Attendees can also enjoy lively parades, including the Flores de PhilFest and the grand PhilFest Parade, featuring elaborate costumes and festive street performances.
