We’ll be moonwalking to the theater this winter, thanks to an incredible production coming to Tampa. The Straz announced that it will host Broadway’s “MJ” the musical February 25 – March 2, bringing the high-energy show to Tampa for a full week of excitement.
MJ has won multiple Tony Awards since making its debut in 2022, a beautiful story wrapped in a musical that celebrates Michael Jackson’s incredible songbook. The onstage spectacle not only showcases the electrifying dance moves and standout vocals of the global star, but delves into the artistry behind it all, with a story centered around the making of his 1992 Dangerous World Tour.
Tickets for MJ will go on sale beginning at noon on Thursday, August 29 (Michael Jackson’s birthday), and we recommend securing yours quickly, as this one is sure to sell out. Tickets to see the award-winning show at The Straz start at $49, with performances taking place in Carol Morsani Hall. MJ has been thrilling sold-out crowds across the country, and the Tampa debut of the show is one of the most highly anticipated performances of the year.
MJ is one of the highlights of The Straz Center’s 2024-2025 Bank of America Broadway Season. All together, their Broadway season features 11 incredible shows, with performances beginning in October.
