Sea Maid’s Creamery is a staple in the Seminole Heights neighborhood. Their fresh baked cookie ice cream sandwiches, big banana splits, cereal milkshakes, and vegan-friendly options have made it an essential sweet spot for most Tampa residents — especially during the brutal summer months. The dedicated Sea Maid’s team is now ready to grow just a little with the imminent debut of La La-Tea-Ria.
This mini expansion will add a tea room and coffee bar to the Sea Maid’s Creamery family. This is a big deal for the locally owned shop. Sea Maid’s added coffee and tea service will allow them longer hours of operation, and reach an all new clientele during that morning rush. I’m certainly looking forward to savoring tea time inside this vibrant and happy space.

Mother daughter duo bring new coffee shop to Seminole Heights
Mother daughter duo, Zoey Vera and Emily, brought Sea Maid’s Creamery to life during the pandemic. Their charming candor, inviting decor, and cereal caked waffle cones, made their business an immediate hit in the neighborhood. We imagine the Veras will experience similar success with their soon-to-open tea room.
Sea Maid’s made headlines last month when Equality Florida unveiled a new mural on the side of its business. Gillian Fazio created a design depicting a large mermaid with a vibrant tail on the side of the creamery. Fazio is a graduate of the University of Florida and us a prolific muralist across the region.
