Kinka’s Bakery and Cafe brings 5-star Puerto Rican delicacies to Lutz

Kinka’s Bakery and Cafe is a new Latin-inspired sweet spot with Puerto Rican roots. The bakery recently opened at 24020 FL-54 in Lutz, and you can visit Tuesday-Sunday from 7am-5pm. Featured dishes include hot cereal and overnight oats, Bavarian cream croissants, guava and cheese pastries, and even seafood salad.

They’ve also teased alcapurias, a Puerto Rican fritter, which is typically made with taro or yucca, plantains, sofrito, stuffed with picadillo, and fried. Keeping true to the top cafes in Tampa, Kinka’s also offers up its own Cubano, a Medianoche sandwich, Tres Leches and Flan.

“OMG !!!!  AMAZING….. I ordered some roast pork and some pasta … geesshhhhh….” writes Elba I O in a 5-star Yelp review. “The pastries are absolutely mouth-watering delicious. Once you start, you can’t stop. The “Pan Sobao”…. Melts in your mouth and so delicious.”

“Food was so good! We also got a Cuban sandwich and empanadas,” writes Lissette W in another 5-star review. Other celebrated dishes in the litany of excelsior reviews include the avocado and bacon breakfast sandwich, and guava with cream cheese pastry.
