Flatbread & Butter, a cafe famous for its vegan waffles and Brie cheese flatbreads, opening in Tampa

rendering of a new mixed-use building with pizza

Flatbread & Butter is a highly acclaimed cafe in the Historic Uptown neighborhood of St. Petersburg. The concept is renowned for its lemon ricotta waffles, brie and apple flatbread, it’s fresh açaí bowls, and waffle iron frittatas. Flatbread & Butter just announced that it’s in the hiring phase of its brand new Downtown Tampa location.

“As we are working our way through permitting & upcoming buildout, we feel it’s now time to start our search to fill a vital position of Coffee & Beverage Manager to assist in this expansion,” wrote the Flatbread & Butter team in an announcement on Instagram. “Ideally, we’d love to bring this person on as a Barista sooner rather than later in St. Pete as we train them to operate the coffee program for both locations.”

This sensational hub for coffee and a morning treat will move into an 1,100-square-foot space at Modera Tampa, a luxury mixed-use project from Mill Creek Residential. The community, situated at the intersection of North Ashley Drive and West Tyler Street, features 353 apartment homes and approximately 13,000 square feet of retail space.

Flatbread & Butter Co. first opened in February 2019 at 497 7th Avenue North.

Owner Jesse Muire first convfeiced the concept while she still lived in NYC. Muire and wife Rebecca found inspiration in the area’s thriving craft coffee scene and stellar pizza landscape. Muire wanted to create a cafe with a robust menu that went beyond your average pastries.
