Wesley Chapel just got a Ukrainian-style café and bakery, and it’s the kind of place that makes you wonder why your local strip mall didn’t think of this sooner.
Farmer’s Milk Café & Bakery opened its second Florida location on August 17 at The Hub at Lexington Oaks (27049 Halter Loop, Wesley Chapel), bringing an Eastern European-inspired concept that already has a devoted following at its Hollywood, Florida location. Fresh farm milk is the backbone of the whole operation, going into the coffee, the desserts, the pastries, and the breakfast menu. It’s a premise that sounds almost too wholesome to be real, and yet here we are.

Let’s start with the syrniki, because we have to. Syrniki are Eastern European cottage cheese pancakes made with farmer cheese, and they’ve become the signature dish that Hollywood regulars recommend to everyone who walks in the door. They’re served with berries, sour cream, and jam. If you’ve spent years eating the same eggs at the same diner without questioning your choices, syrniki are ready to question them for you.

The dessert case alone could justify a trip to Wesley Chapel. We’re talking Napoleon cake, Basque cheesecake, Pavlova, Kyiv cake, a pistachio cheesecake (yes, please), a honey cake, and a Pear Gorgonzola cheesecake that sounds like it was invented by someone who wasn’t afraid of consequences. Slices start around $10, and whole cakes are available if you’re either hosting a party or having a very specific kind of day.
Coffee is serious here too. Flat whites, macchiatos, cortados, cold brew, nitro, affogatos, a Frappuccino, a Moroccan tea, and a Pink Matcha Latte that I can’t explain but am not opposed to. The coffee program here is more serious than any café tucked into a suburban development has the right to be, and it sits alongside one of the more impressive dessert cases in Tampa Bay.
Farmer’s Milk at The Hub at Lexington Oaks has been open since August 17. Go try something you didn’t know you needed. You’ll thank yourself later.
