CRG continues takeover of Tampa Bay
Ciccio Restaurant Group once again expands its footprint in Tampa Bay with the announcement that their newest comfort food concept, Better Byrd, will open a second location — it’s first in Tampa — in the flourishing epicenter of food and retail that is Hyde Park Village.
The restaurant will replace Piquant at 1633 West Snow Avenue. Get ready for savory mini donuts, refreshing Better Byrd-style Cola, bold Byrd wings, loaded fries and, of course, one of the best damn fried chicken sandwiches we’ve ever enjoyed.
Popularity in St. Pete spurs Tampa expansion
The concept first opened on 4th Street in St. Pete next to Fresh Kitchen. Fanfare over their creative doughnuts and their Sriracha tacos have made them a staple in the diets of Sunshine City residents.
Diners can enjoy brunch all day with entrees such as the Crazy Tots Bowl — two eggs over-easy and Sriracha queso over sweet potato tots — and the CheesyChick — buttermilk fried chicken, whipped goat cheese and pepper jelly on an Artisan English muffin or whole wheat wrap. Better Byrd also offers an array of craft beers, wines, champagnes and cold brew coffee. View their full menu online.
Ciccio’s roster of foodie/fitness concepts includes Daily Eats, Green Lemon, Fresh Kitchen, CAMP, Cali, Water, CRG Think Lab and The Lodge.
