Armature Works hosts great Tampa hot dog eating contest on the 4th of July

Armature Works will join the 4th of July celebrations in Tampa with a big hot dog eating contest. The event begins at 4pm on July 4 at the Riverfront stage. Tickets to enter the competition are limited and first come, first serve. Entry fee is $25.

There will be contestants from around the Bay who will compete to see who can take down the most dogs within a 5-minute period. The winner will take home the championship title which includes a $500 gift card, the championship belt, as well as bragging rights. Second and third place winners will each take home $100 Gift Cards and all competitors receive a branded T-shirt.

Armature Works is offering contestants all-beef dogs provided by their very own Butcher n’ Barbecue.

The venue is once again going all out for the holiday. Festivities include a large-scale riverfront concert, spectacular fireworks display, Friends of the Riverwalk Boat Parade, a Kids Zone, and family-friendly fun all day long. The celebration kicks off at 3pm and will go until 10pm, but come early to enjoy the bounce houses starting at noon.
