The huge touring electronic music festival, Breakaway, is returning to Raymond James Stadium on April 25-26, 2025. Early bird tickets are on sale now, and the official lineup will be announced this winter. The event drew massive crowds to the region last spring.
Breakaway launched in 2016 in Columbus, Ohio, with dance and hip-hop acts including Alison Wonderland, Dillon Francis, Rae Sremmurd and RL Grime. Founded by Ruben and Adam Lynn, the event is focused on college towns, modeling itself as a dance and pop-driven Vans Warped Tour and bringing an approachable high-end dance experience to underserved markets.

Major music festivals continue to come to Tampa
“The reception we get from the artists who are playing, everyone is thankful for the opportunity,” Breakaway co-founder Adam Lynn told Pollstar. “The opportunity to be growing in this kind of climate gives us a lot of leverage when we’re approaching agencies and now we have 10 cities we’re booking against for next year.” Lynn says the company also looks to build out its artist management and influencer representation business. The long-term goal is for 20 Breakaway festivals nationally according to a report by Pollstar.
The festival is known for showcasing established and up-and-coming artists, offering attendees a chance to experience live music performances in an energetic and vibrant atmosphere. Breakaway Music Festival often incorporates other elements such as art installations, food vendors, and interactive experiences to create a memorable festival experience for attendees.
