Cross-Bay Ferry offering free tickets for kids through Spring Break season

It’s no secret that I love the Cross-Bay Ferry. It’s a fun, scenic ride aboard a nice vessel (with a bar), that brings us to Port St. Pete. We miss the Vinoy Yacht Basin dock, but St. Pete officials added a looper trolley stop by the Cross-Bay Ferry so it’s fairly simply to get to downtown St. Pete. The operators are excited to celebrate the spring break season and so they’re offering free kids tickets on weekday trips through March and April.

Use code KIDSRIDEFREE24 on weekday sailings in March and April, and get a FREE youth ticket for children 12 & under with the purchase of an adult ticket.

The fine print: Offer excludes days of Tampa Bay Lightning home games. Offer valid for up to one (1) free youth per adult ticket purchased per transaction. To utilize the deal for multiple youth tickets, riders will need to make a separate transaction for each adult and youth ticket pairing.

Tampa residents can make their way to the ferry just outside the Tampa Convention Center at 333 S Franklin Street. The ferry will drop passengers off at Port St. Pete (250 8th Ave SE). The ferry service will run through June 2024.

The Downtown Looper in St. Pete will include a stop at the Port St. Pete, 850 2nd Ave SE, after 4pm Monday-Thursday, and all day Friday-Sunday.

There are bike racks on board the ferry, so if you bring your own you’re only a 5-minute bike ride from the heart of downtown St. Pete, too.

Adult tickets cost $12 one-way, and $24 round trip. Senior (65+), Military, College Student (w/ ID)*,  cost $22 round trip. Youth ages 5-18 pay $10 one way and $20 round trip. Those in a wheelchair pay $5 one way and $10 round trip.
