The food scene is on fire in Tampa – and not just because we now have multiple Michelin star restaurants. Hollywood star Tyler Lepley has added his own signature touch to our culinary scene. Lepley’s credentials include playing “Diamond” on the Starz hit show P-Valley, “Ian” on Amazon Prime’s Harlem and “Benny” on Tyler Perry’s The Haves and the Have Nots. Now, Lepley is trying out the role of restaurateur. Lepley’s Kitchen and Lounge is officially open at 6310 N Florida Avenue.
Lepley is joined by his business partner and Tampa local Jovi York on the restaurant endeavor. This new spot in Seminole Heights specializes in Caribbean cuisine and Southern comfort classics. Menu favorites include Caribbean fried chicken, salmon rasta pasta, and lobster hush puppies.

Tasty cocktails include a vibrant French 75 Cotton Candy, a Jerk pineapple martini, and one called The Bautista made with Dr Brugal, Jack Daniels Honey, and cinnamon. Catch more menu teasers by following the restaurant on Instagram.
“The magic you’re lookin’ for is in the work you’re avoiding,” wrote Lepley following the restaurant’s opening weekend. The reviews, and TikToks we’ve seen suggest this is another game-changing foodie destination in the city.
Reservations are officially open at the restaurant. You can secure your seat online.
