Tampa has so many amazing ice cream shops, one even offers a 6 pound ice cream challenge. It’s hard to resist the funky, quirky wonder of Dairy Joy. The scoop shop has been family owned and operated since 1958. They offer authentic soft serve cones in various dipped flavors, hard packed ice cream, milk shakes, all beef hot dogs and a lot more.
Visitors will be transported back in time via checkerboard floors, and towering Elvis statue, and more doo wop decor. Owners Karrie and Chris Mueller remain beloved figures in the Tampa community, and continue to find ways to give back and support the sweet small business eco-system in South Tampa.
