Canopy Road Cafe plans a new location at 4308 W. Gandy Blvd. in South Tampa.

Canopy Road Cafe has been a Tallahassee breakfast institution for over a decade, and over the years the concept has spread throughout the state of Florida. Canopy Road Cafe is described as a modern diner that is a tribute to the old school American eateries. The portions here are huge.

They specialize in traditional breakfast and lunch fare, with some fun and innovative twists that set Canopy Road apart from some of those ‘normal’ folks.

The first Canopy Road opened when the owners were just 23-years-old, and the food dream has only grown since. Diners can expect to indulge in wild brunch creations like the Girl Scout Cookie waffles, banana Nutella rollup pancakes, breakfast burgers, triple decker sandwiches and so much more.

“Bringing Canopy Road Cafe to South Tampa has been a goal since the beginning,” wrote the owners on Instagram. “One of our owners, Brad, grew up here and has always known he wanted to take the Tallahassee-grown restaurant home one day.”

Canopy Road Cafe is now open at 4308 W. Gandy Blvd.
