New sangria bar sets opening date in Channel District

Photo of two sangria drinks filled with fruit

Ooo la la, La La’s Sangria Bar has set an opening date in the Tampa’s growing Channel District. Oh the glory of Instagram. The owners replied to a comment on one of La La’s recent posts asking when the sangria hub would officially open. The weekend of November 29, La La’s will begin serving the city of Tampa. Cheers!

I’ve been following La La’s since it was first announced. Listen, I live for a good sangria, so a bar dedicated to the ruby red nectar is right up this blogger’s alley.

Channel District on the rise

La La’s joins a booming Channel District area that is currently home to the ever popular (and super Instagrammable) Sparkman Wharf, and the newly opened adult playground Park & Rec TPA. Anyone looking to face me in a round of Mario Kart is more than welcome to step into the driver’s seat.

The bar will feature 8 flavors of sangria made in house. BUT before we get down to the drinks, can we just celebrate the fact that La La’s has a pup menu!?

Your four-legged friend can enjoy a Bronx Peanut Butter Flatbread topped with bacon fat, a special bacon ice cream for pups, a rice dish, and rose bites (made with anchovy, egg, powdered egg shell, and rolled oats).

A delicious dessert menu

My sweet tooth guides all of my dining decisions, so I go straight to the dessert menu. La La’s is serving up freaking SANGRIA TIRAMISU. Sorry for the all caps, but that’s the reaction it elicited (and deserves).

Other items include Whiskey Sticky Toffee Pudding, and deconstructed lemon merengue pie.

You had us at brie-stuffed meatballs

If you’d rather go with something savory, La La’s offers brie and fig flatbreads, brie-stuffed meatballs, steak and waffles, chicken curry skewers, scallops ceviche, and citrus roasted beets.

You can get a full view of the menu on La La’s website. Whet your appetite Tampa, La La’s is about to ignite those damn taste buds.

A full sangria lineup is still TBA.
