Next Big Thing brings star-studded musical lineup to The BayCare Sound this December

A concert venue

Next Big Thing is perhaps our favorite annual music festival in Tampa Bay, and this year’s edition boasts an absolutely star-studded lineup of headliners and up-and-coming artists. The 23rd annual 97X Next Big Thing, presented by CleanEarth Systems, takes over The BayCare Sound in Clearwater on Saturday, December 7, with performances beginning at 1 pm.

Tickets for this annual winter spectacular are available now, with several options to choose from. This year’s epic lineup features The All-American Rejects, Something Corporate, Dayglow, Judah & The Lion, Gigi Perez, Jonah Kagen, and the winner of the Hard Rock Rising Battle of the Bands.

Not only is this an opportunity to see an amazing lineup of bands all together in one day, but it’s also an excellent excuse to visit The BayCare Sound. Located in Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater, the sparkling new waterfront facility is one of the coolest – and most beautiful – music venues anywhere in the region. Unlike the All-American Rejects, we won’t be keeping this fantastic concert venue our Dirty Little Secret.

One of our favorite things about 97X’s Next Big Thing is that it doesn’t just promise to put on a good show. It also promises to make the experience affordable, and for the performances taking place over the course of the afternoon and evening this year, tickets are practically a steal.

Lawn tickets are on sale now for only $45, and you can get literally any seat in the house for under $100. Grab a seat front and center or even get into the pit for just $99. In fact, reserved seat options start as low as $69 to see all seven headliners. You can also try the Lawn Four-Pack, which includes four lawn tickets for $150.

Plus, you can feel good about where your ticket money is going. $1 of every ticket sold will go to support Metropolitan Ministries and those affected by the storms, helping to support our community as it recovers and rebuilds.

It’s also convenient to get to The BayCare Sound, with trolley and ferry options both serving downtown Clearwater. Public parking is also available throughout downtown Clearwater, though we do recommend ride sharing if possible.
