The founders of Cru Cellars have opened a new bottle shop in Water Street Tampa. Wine on Water is described as a modern neighborhood wine and liquor shop with over 500 selections. With a staff of 6, led by general manager Morgan, those shopping at Wine on Water will be in the hands of true experts.
“There are plenty of everyday favorites, with a focus on small-production wines,” said owner Jennifer Bingham, who is fresh off opening Bouzy in Hyde Park Village. “We also have a soft spot for sustainable and organic wineries.” Whiskey lovers will be well taken care of at this shop too. Top distillery and brewery brands from around the world will be available alongside small batch offerings. Cru even crafted its own bourbon at Tampa’s own Dark Door Spirits.

One of the most tantalizing options for Water Street residents will surely be the online ordering and neighborhood delivery option. This is a new standard of convenience for those enjoying the already lush amenities at Water Street Tampa.
Morgan, Wine on Waters’ brilliant general manager, has been with Cru for a little over 5 years. In addition to her love of small production wineries, Morgan has a deep appreciation for music. She plans to have a diverse selection of tunes playing at the venue, in addition to crafting playlists that perfectly accompany the wines selected.
“We have a passion for curating the best bottles across the globe,” said Morgan. “This isn’t just wine, and self expression is at the heart of what Wine on Water is about.” During our visit Morgan brought out a gorgeous clay wine chiller, which speaks to the overall aesthetic for the new space.
Wine on Water has a rotating by-the-glass list that can be enjoyed at its indoor and outdoor tasting tables. There are 18 seats outside, and 9 spaces available inside. The beautiful space will be perfect to reserve for private events and dinners. Wine on Water also plans to host an extensive series of educational classes and tastings throughout the next year.
