Tampa International Airport (TPA) is continuing to expand its global reach with the announcement of its first-ever nonstop flights to Vancouver, Canada. Beginning June 14, 2025, WestJet will operate this new route, connecting Tampa Bay travelers to the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant city life of Western Canada.
In addition to this milestone, WestJet has confirmed that its popular route to Calgary will now operate year-round, transitioning from seasonal service to regular weekly flights every Friday starting May 2, 2025.

First-ever nonstop flights to Vancouver from TPA
TPA shared the news with excitement on Instagram: “AHHHHH WE GETTIN’ NONSTOP FLIGHTS TO VANCOUVER FOR THE FIRST TIME EVERRRR 🥳🥳🥳 Beginning next June, WestJet will offer nonstop service from TPA to Vancouver. 🏔️ Book that trip to Western Canada today!!”

The addition of Vancouver marks another step in TPA’s evolution as a global travel hub. Recent international destinations, such as Amsterdam and Mexico City, highlight the airport’s commitment to offering expanded options for travelers. With year-round service to Calgary now on the roster, WestJet continues to solidify its presence in Tampa, providing more opportunities for residents to explore Canada.
