Tiger Sugar, the bubble tea sensation from Taichung, Taiwan, is now open in Tampa at 1518 E Fowler Ave. Known for its legendary black sugar bubble tea, Tiger Sugar uses a special eight-hour cooking method that’s their little secret. Their drinks are a social media hit, with fans showing off creamy concoctions streaked with brown, hand-poured syrup that looks just like tiger stripes.
Since debuting in 2017, Tiger Sugar has opened over 50 stores across the U.S., but Tampa has been missing out—until now. These new openings are a huge deal for local bubble tea lovers. Get ready to sip on some seriously Instagram-worthy drinks.

The cafe also offers the brand’s famous black sugar popcorn, and black sugar milk egg rolls. You can see its full menu of fruit teas, and boba on its website. In 2021, Tiger Sugar received Superior Taste Awards from the Brussels International Taste Institute for its Oolong Tea.
Visitors can also enjoy cheese foam tea. This refreshing iced tea, made with either green or black tea, is topped with a rich and creamy foam made from whipped cream cheese, milk, heavy cream, sugar, and a pinch of salt. It tastes like a foamy cheesecake on top of your drink.
