Thee Burger Spot (3917 N Tampa St) is one of the most award-winning burger joints in the city of Tampa. On September 5, Thee Burger Spot will be featured on Emeril’s Tailgate on Roku. The show allows football fans to visit Emeril Lagasse’s kitchen to learn how to make new tailgate dishes that will make their friends and family members proud.

The family-owned restaurant has operated in Tampa since 2016. It’s a labor of love, and one that the entire team is proud of. In an interview with WTSP, Marketing Director Vanessa Oatman said, “Everyone who works in the restaurant is a part of the family.  Every morning at 3 am, we’re in this kitchen hand pressing our quarter-pound beef patties.”

Oatman continues, “We’re hand-cutting our 150 pounds of onions to make our famous ‘onion thangs’.  It makes us different because we serve you real food at a reasonable price.”

In addition to gourmet burgers, the restaurant is famous for its steak fries, onion “thangs,” the pizza burger, glazed donut burgers, and blue dream juice. You can see the full menu on Thee Burger Spot’s website. Learn more about Emeril’s tailgate, and see previous episodes online.

For adventurous eaters, the restaurant also offers a big burger challenge. It includes 6 patties, 6 slices of cheese, 6 strips of bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and a full order of fries, and you have to finish it in under 4 minutes and 36 seconds.
