Ybor City Cigars

One of the most notable pieces of Tampa’s history is that Ybor City was once deemed the “cigar capital of the world.” Though the hundreds of cigar factories no longer exist, there are plenty of cigar shops in Ybor that carry a wide variety in celebration of the neighborhood’s history. Check out J.C. Newman Cigar Company, the only functioning factory still standing, for a special look (and smell) behind the scenes of some of Tampa’s handcrafted cigars.

Dark Door Spirits

Visit Dark Door Spirits for a premium distillery tour and tasting of its award-winning blended spirits, like the New American Bourbon Whiskey or the Barreled Lavender Gin. On June 19 and 24, the distillery will offer a special Father’s Day Bottle-Your-Own-Whiskey experience. The two-hour event invites guests to taste unique whiskeys, then choose their favorite or create their own blend to bottle, label, and cork.
