Tampa’s Gluten-Free Dining Guide

Whether you cannot have gluten due to health conditions like Celiac or your body is gluten sensitive, finding safe gluten-free options can be a challenge. We’ve made it easier to dine out in Tampa with some of our favorite GF (gluten-free) friendly restaurants. As always, be sure to let your server know of any and all food allergies and sensitivities you have so that they can make sure your meal is safely prepared. And make sure to bookmark and SHARE this with your friends who would appreciate the knowledge.

Poké Rose
Situated in the beautiful Hall on Franklin, Poké Rose boasts an entirely gluten free menu. Using tamari and tamarind sauces instead of traditional soy sauce, they serve up some of the tastiest poké bowls we have ever tasted. We recommend ordering their Tamarind-Curry Crab & Jasmine Rice bowl or House-made Tofu & Baby Kale Salad.

Bamboozle Cafe
Bamboozle Cafe is a health-oriented Vietnamese & Asian fusion cafe. Their gluten-free menu ranges from dishes like Lemongrass Tofu or Crispy Duck to Banh Xeo Crispy Traditional Crepes (Chicken, Pork or Tofu), Pho Short Ribs and even Pho Soup Boats.

Farmacy Vegan Kitchen & Bakery
Farmacy is a quick service restaurant with a 100% vegan menu located right inside downtown Tampa’s Duckweed Urban Grocery. They are home to some of our favorite gluten-free baked goods (which vary daily) such as salted caramel donuts, cinnamon sticky buns and peppermint brownies.

Fresh Kitchen
We can’t have a gluten-free dining guide and leave out Fresh Kitchen! Their entire menu is 100% gluten-free. Fresh Kitchen’s healthy take on fast casual suits any on-the-go lifestyle while keeping their food to high healthy eating standards. Any combination of their bowl ingredients goes well together, but we recommend starting with a sweet potato noodle base and finishing with their coconut sriracha sauce. While you’re in line, don’t forget to grab yourself a pack of their chocolate-chip cookies and a Macho Milk (matcha green tea, almond milk, maple, cinnamon, sea salt).

Green Lemon is a laid-back restaurant focusing on creating classic Mexican food. Their clearly marked menu holds gluten-free dishes such as the ‘B-Mack’, a Fiesta Bowl filled with grilled chicken, Napa cabbage, seasonal grilled vegetables and charred tomato served with quinoa topped with queso fresco, avocado and lime vinaigrette.

Vale Food Company
Newcomers to the Downtown Tampa scene, Vale Food Company brings another healthy fast casual into the lives of bustling nine to fivers. They offer Açai bowls and poké bowls at their “superfood station” and a hearty selection at their “build-your-own-bowl station”. Some of our favorite items to mix and match include the roasted sweet potatoes, balsamic mushrooms, ancho pulled chicken and their zippy sriracha honey sauce.

Armature Works – Heights Public Market
The latest addition to Tampa Heights has become a staple in weekend plans. Armature Works says that nearly every vendor has something to offer the gluten-free! Keep an eye on their Instagram page where they’ll be posting a full list of available GF items for safekeeping. In the meantime, we’re partial to the Karaage Rice Bowl at Ichicoro Imoto.

Chef Inspired Popcorn Co.
We hope you saved room for dessert at Chef Inspired Popcorn Co. When owner Lizette Rivera was diagnosed with Celiac she fell in love with the world of gourmet popcorn snacks. Now in their new home, all of the popcorn is popped fresh in-store daily with 100% GF ingredients. Scooped from oversized barrels of kernel joy, available flavors range from Birthday Cake to Chicken N Waffles to Caramel Espresso.
