Tampa is one of the best cities to celebrate New Year’s Eve, according to WalletHub

What are you doing New Year’s Eve? If you live in Tampa, you have tons of options for NYE shindigs. A recent list from WalletHub aggregated the top cities to celebrate the holiday – and Tampa came in 24th among cities of similar size across the country.

Tampa ranks high for the volume of hotels hosting events during NYE, in addition to a plethora of spots to view fireworks for free. Additionally, Tampa hosts a huge parade on December 31 in Ybor City ahead of the ReliaQuest Bowl, and has a big waterfront concert set with Marshmello in Tampa Heights.

Tampa is one of the best cities for fireworks displays

“To determine which cities are the best for safely ringing in the new year without breaking the bank, WalletHub compared the 100 biggest cities across 26 key metrics,” notes the editorial team at WalletHub. “The data set ranges from the legality of fireworks and the nightlife options per capita to food affordability and forecasted precipitation for Dec. 31.”

You can get dressed up and enjoy a fancy evening of drinks and dancing in Historic Ybor City, or kick it around the Riverwalk and explore multiple destinations going all out for NYE.
