More taco options are coming to Tampa. Talkin’ Tacos, a food truck turned fast-casual Mexican eatery based in South Florida serving up scratch-made, innovative Mexican dishes, will open its first Tampa location at 1819 E Fowler Ave on Friday, August 16.
To celebrate, the restaurant will host a grand opening celebration starting at 6pm on opening day, with the first 100 guests in line receiving a free order of its signature Birria Tacos. Guests can also enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the evening including photo opportunities with an LED Robot. The concept will continue to feed Tampa-area residents, with a second restaurant planned in Westchase later this year.

Giving out free tacos during their grand opening
The new 2,400 sq. foot restaurant will feature indoor seating for 55 guests. Their chef-driven menu will feature an array of guest favorites such as Birria Tacos, Birria Ramen, Southwest Chicken Tacos, Birria Pizza, and Street Corn in a Cup. A hallmark of the menu is their beef birria which is braised each day for 12 hours resulting in the most tender and savory meat. Guests can also indulge in desserts like loaded Churros and Tajin & Chamoy gummies and sip on homemade specialty beverages such as lemonades, horchatas, and mangonadas.

Talkin’ Tacos, known for its radiant atmosphere featuring hand-painted murals and neon signs, offers an upbeat yet laid-back vibe. The restaurant incorporates self-serve kiosks, streamlining the ordering process by eliminating the need for cashiers and speeding up service.

The fast-casual concept burst onto the scene in 2020, fueled by a passion for authentic flavors. It began as a food truck on the vibrant streets of Miami and has since expanded its footprint across Florida and the Southeast. In just four years, the brand has opened 14 locations and plans to launch 10 more this year.
