There’s a new-to-me Asian-inspired coffee house in Wesley Chapel that looks divine: Sorbo Coffee House at 2653 Bruce B Downs Blvd Ste 117. It was first brought to our attention on National Coffee Day. We published our own list of 5 essential coffee shops in Tampa, and multiple readers submitted Wesley Chapel’s Sorbo to us. This caffeine haven is well worth a visit.
They specialize in Thai tea, and tasty cookies (including a matcha cookie) and offer local beer and wines on tap. They officially soft-opened the first week of September.

One tantalizing photo features three of the team’s favorite drinks: house blend iced espresso latte; strawberry matcha latte; espresso yuzu tonic. This revolving pasty case is meant to perfectly pair the drinks on tap. The moist coconut cake and thick walnut cookies frequently featured are calling our name.
This Asian culture-inspired hub has also offered Basque Cheesecake. I actually had no idea what this was, but the visual of it drew me in. I’m talking fumes from a pie on a window sill in a classic cartoon. What separates Basque from regular cheesecake is Basque cheesecake has a caramelized and burnt exterior with a creamy and custard-like center. Its shimmering top layer offers a fabulous sugary crunch with a few simple taps of the fork.
