It’s going to snow in Tampa Bay this year! Not really, but we can get a taste of the winter season at Florida’s snow park, Snowcat Ridge – an Alpine Snow Park. The venue is now selling tickets for its fourth season which officially begins on December 3 at 27839 Saint Joe Road.
This year, Florida’s only snow park will debut a new attraction, Santa’s Christmas Lane, with four new features: Santa’s Cozy Cabin, Story Time with Mrs. Claus, Santa’s Gift Shoppe, and the Peppermint Play Zone. Guests will be able to enjoy meet-and-greets with Santa himself, experience story time readings with Mrs. Claus and more! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the park through December 24, 2023.

The one-of-a-kind alpine snow park – Snowcat Ridge – features a massive snow tubing hill, Alpine Village, and a ten thousand square foot snow play dome. There’s also an igloo space to unwind with a drink and some good eats.
Snowcat Ridge includes a 60-foot-tall, 400-foot-long snow tubing hill, along with a magic carpet lift that will whisk riders and their snow tubes to the top of the hill. Guests will be provided with single, tandem, and 6-person family tubes to slide down the snow-covered slope.
Snowcat Ridge is Tampa’s winter wonderland
“Our team has been working very hard over the last few years to bring our alpine snow park to reality,” said Benjamin Nagengast, CEO of Snowcat Ridge. “Snowcat Ridge will be unlike anything anyone has seen before in the Sunshine State and we are incredibly excited to unveil our vision for the new alpine snow park today.”
There’s going to be REAL SNOW inside of the snow dome. Guests can build snowmen and snow castles inside. The snow dome will also include a child-sized snow hill for younger guests.
“Some folks think it’s impossible to experience snow tubing and the joy of snow in Florida, but our team is all about making the impossible, possible,” says Mark Bremer, Creative Director of Snowcat Ridge. “The new alpine snow park will be unique in all regards and our team is thrilled to be launching in November.”
Ice skating and snow tubing coming to the Sunshine State
Snowcat Ridge will also feature a magical light show during the evenings on both the snow hill and inside of the snow dome. It’s a winter wonderland, y’all. Snowcat Ridge is located at 27839 Saint Joe Road in Dade City. You can find more information on Snowcat Ridge’s website.
This season will also include a large outdoor skating rink. The Crystal Ribbon is an outdoor ice skating ribbon and beginner oval. Ice skating is the quintessential winter pastime and now you can enjoy it right at Snowcat Ridge. Lace-up your skates and get ready to glide across the ice under Florida’s sunny skies during the day and under our magical music and light show at night.
The park will open on December 3, 2023, and remain open through February 25, 2024.
