The Seminole Heights Great Pumpkin Patch

There are tons of pumpkin patches to visit this autumn in Tampa (and the greater Tampa area). There are two in particular that I’m hyped up about: The Great Pumpkin Patch in Seminole Heights, and Bearss Grove Pumpkin Patch (home of one giant a** pumpkin).

The Great Pumpkin Patch (6111 North Central Avenue) is one of the largest in the Tampa Bay area and features pumpkins and gourds of all shapes and sizes. Cinderella Pumpkins, Heirloom Pumpkins, cute little spooky pumpkins, elf houses and so much more make a home in the Seminole Heights patch.

Patch hours are Wednesday-Friday from 3pm-8pm, Saturday from 10pm-8pm, and Sunday from noon-6pm. Volunteer shifts are available for anyone interested in participating. Please find all the pumpkin patch details on its Facebook page. Spooky movies on the lawn and a pet costume contest are in the works.

Gourd vibes only in Tampa

Bearss Groves (14316 Lake Magdalene Blvd) is renowned for its dreamy pumpkin patch. It also gained a hefty amount of notoriety when the largest pumpkin in Florida arrived on its premises in 2022. That pumpkin weighed 969 pounds and it was a true feast for the eyes.

We’re not sure if they plan to bring in another HUGE pumpkin this season, so make sure to follow them on Facebook for updates. Their regular pumpkin patch is officially open now. Treat yourself to a more manageable gourd to carve, paint, and display.
