Tampa foodies have a new reason to celebrate with the opening of SATA Empanada. Located at 7228 N Dale Mabry Hwy, this takeout gem is quickly becoming a local favorite for its wide variety of mouthwatering empanadas, including sausage and veggies, steak, tuna fish, chicken, and a sweet apple pie dessert option.

The story behind SATA Empanada is as heartwarming as the food is delicious. Owners Nader and Shirin, who moved to the United States in 2016, have always dreamed of opening a restaurant to share their love for food. With years of experience running multiple restaurants in their home country, they finally brought their vision to life in Tampa. “SATA is named after our two daughters, Sara and Tara,” Nader shared in a neighborhood group, inviting the community to stop by and try their culinary creations.

Customers rave not only about the delicious food but also about the warm, welcoming nature of Nader and Shirin. Reviews often highlight their famous lentil soup and the sausage empanadas as must-try items.

While SATA Empanada currently operates as a takeout-only spot, there’s a picnic table outside the order window for those who can’t wait to dive into their tasty treats. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a full meal, SATA Empanada is set to become a staple in the city.
