Pickleball is blowing up. A new 12-court indoor pickleball club is now open in Sarasota. The city is already replete with a stunning museum, great beaches, and top tier food, so this is just one more reason to drive over the Skyway Bridge. The ownership team’s vision at The Pickleball Club is to become the Premier Indoor Pickleball Facility in Sarasota.  They also have plans to open a facility in nearby Pinellas Park.

They hope to accomplish that with a “club atmosphere, 12 indoor pickleball courts with an outdoor playing surface in a climate controlled environment also featuring a cafe and pro shop.” The Pickleball Club will also feature 2 outdoor courts, 2 bocce courts and 2 corn hole courts. Don’t sweat it, y’all, these outdoor facilities are covered.

A Youth Member age 8-12 must be accompanied by an adult, plus a parent must be their emergency contact and are responsible for their financial obligations.

Follow The Pickleball Club on its website and Facebook for updates. The club is located at 1300 Sarasota Center Boulevard.

Don’t worry, Tampa isn’t far from getting a pickleball club of its own. The Tampa Pickleball Crew is bringing the surging sport to Tampa. The four founders,  Susan Forsyth, Jen Plummer, Dene Wilson, and Kayla Goldman have announced they are opening a huge indoor pickleball facility in Ybor City inside a warehouse owned by Gas Worx developer Darryl Shaw. They’re taking over a 28,000-square-foot warehouse at 1701 E. Second Ave. It will feature at least seven pickleball courts with renovations set to cost under $100,000.
