Publix kicked off 2024 with several new openings across the state of Florida, including a brand-new hub in Wesley Chapel. Listen, if you had to ask me one of my favorite spots to unwind in Tampa, I’m gonna tell you it’s the Publix in Water Street. The Pours Cafe slings Kahwa Coffee and great smoothies, and the Sushi Bar’s teriyaki tofu bowl is pure fire. The WiFi is also reasonably strong (always a plus) – and I don’t hate that I can pick up a “sharing size” bag of Skinny Pop while I work. This is to say that these new Publix stores are more than just grab-and-go markets, it’s a net benefit to the Wesley Chapel area.
The new Welsey Chapel Publix is located 32265 Overpass Rd at Innovation Springs. This Publix includes a deli island, similar to ones found in shops in downtown St. Pete and South Tampa, a Pours Cafe (treat yourself), and a luxurious seating area. Visitors will also find a full-service seafood area, robust wine selections, some local products, and tons of vegan, and gluten-free items to take home.

Publix Stores feature ample seating, cafes, and hot meal options
Kahwa Coffee celebrated this major expansion. “Publix opened a brand store this week in Wesley Chapel and they’re brewing Kahwa Coffee at the POURS cafe! ☕️ Come check it out! We’re thrilled to help fuel your grocery shopping one cup at a time!”
This new Publix store generally reflex the layout of their Greenwise Markets, a concept that was slowly phased out in 2023.
You can find Publix locations in your area on the grocer’s website.
