Pirate Taxi announces major expansion in 2019.

Ahoy mateys! Pirate Water Taxi just sieged the day with the announcement that they’re expanding their fleet. The company will add 3 new boats, bringing the fleet to a total of 7, and one of them will be a massive 100-passenger vessel with a bar on board, according to Creative Loafing.

Pirate Water Taxi announced on Facebook that they would now be able to reliably make stops during high tide at Sparkman Wharf and the Florida Aquarium. The other two vessels will be able to hold 20-25 passengers each. An official capacity number is still TBD.

They could be on the water as soon as late 2019. Seriously, if you haven’t taken advantage of Pirate Water Taxi’s service, then you’re doing it wrong. They make 15 stops daily along the Hillsborough River, from Davis Island’s restaurant row all the way to Armature Works in Tampa Heights. Trust us, the scenery is beyond anything you’ll get on the highway.
